Glow: Inner Warmth

Glow: Inner Warmth

Glow isn’t always brightness -sometimes it’s inner warmth returning.

April arrived like someone quietly opening the curtains and gently turning the heating back on, didn’t it? Blossom suddenly appeared everywhere, the evenings began to stretch themselves out and my world softened around the edges.

Now May is here, I don’t want to lose that feeling - it feels like I’m glowing from the inside out. I want to hold onto that warmth a little longer. More evening walks, more fresh air, more time to simply be. More sitting in the garden with a morning coffee, and in the evening with a glass of wine, alongside my dog, just watching the roses and letting everything slow down for a bit.

However, real glow has very little to do with perfection.

Sitting in the garden sounds idyllic until you add neighbours doing chores, kids thundering home from school and cars clattering over speed bumps like they’re auditioning for Formula One. I’d much rather be listening to birdsong and feeling a gentle breeze on my skin… but maybe that’s the point. Warmth, rest and little moments of calm do not have to be perfect to still count.

There’s no denying that products and facial massage create a real, visible glow. When circulation is gently increased, when the skin is cleansed, exfoliated, nourished and massaged, you do see that immediate radiance return. The face looks brighter, fresher, more alive. That part is real, physical, visible. And it matters. But what I’m really drawn to is the glow underneath it all.

Because as a therapist, I can support the skin, encourage circulation, relaxation and renewal - but I can only do so much. The deeper glow isn’t something I can apply or massage into existence. It’s that inner warmth and that sense of feeling rested and a little more like yourself again.

And that’s what I’m really trying to bottle in my Glow Facials, that soft, inside-out feeling that comes from slowing down and being looked after for a while.

Because real glow isn’t just something you see… it’s something you feel in the little things that quietly warm you.

So yes, do look after your skin but don’t forget to look after yourself too.
