Your Skin’s September Reset
Skin September Reset
Gosh, this summer has been a bit bonkers, hasn't it - I am sure our summers are occurring earlier and earlier! But now September is here and the weather is turning (it’s still warm, yes but damp), its the perfect time to hit the refresh button.
Think of it as your skin’s version of a new school year - a chance to start fresh, repair and glow again from all the months of sunshine, sunscreen, pool dips and (maybe a few) alcoholic boozy late nights!
Here are my favourite post-summer reset rituals your skin will absolutely thank you for:
Hit the Reset Button
All that UV, saltwater, chlorine and heat can leave skin looking a bit dull, thirsty and uneven. September is your chance to slough off the summer and bring back your glow.
Try this: Use a gentle exfoliator 1–2 times a week to whisk away dead skin cells and always follow it with a nourishing mask to restore bounce.
Hydration Upgrade
While lightweight gel creams are fab in the heat, your skin may now need a little extra TLC.
Try this: Think moisture-attracting serums (loaded with hyaluronic acid, glycerin and peptides) or a silky cream with ceramides and apply them under your lightweight gel creams. And don’t pack away your SPF! September rays can still do sneaky damage.
Cosy Skin Rituals
September is all about slowing down and leaning into comfort. Make your skincare feel just as cosy so after hitting the reset button and hydration upgrade as above;
Try this:drink a warm cup of herbal tea in the evening (hydration for you and your skin) - Camomile, Rooibos or Hibiscus.
Reset Mind & Skin Together
Your skin isn’t just about products, it reflects your lifestyle. September’s slower rhythm is the perfect excuse to breathe, reset and look after yourself. Better sleep, less stress, more glow.
The takeaway: September is your skin’s favourite month for a reason - it’s a season of renewal. Exfoliate gently, hydrate deeply, keep up your SPF and weave in cosy little rituals that make you feel good from the inside out.
Your skin will love you for it.
